Special
services for individuals
In addition to our new CD-ROM publications, when an earlier published work is out of copyright or where our agreements with rights-holders allow, some of our earlier microform publications can now be made available on CD-ROM to individuals for private study and research. Depending on the nature and size of the microfilms to be converted and the type of digital image (greyscale or black and white), one CD-ROM can contain up to three reels. It should be noted that images scanned from older negatives may reproduce defects inherent in microfilm as a medium for archival preservation, as well as reflecting the effect of ageing on the original documents, for example due to the yellowing of paper fibres or the fading of ink pigments.) Prices for this service are available on request.
