The scanning of books is accepted as being notoriously difficult, especially if using a 'flatbed' scanner, hence, to overcome this problem we have a dedicated digital Book Scanner.
The major difference with this scanner to that of a conventional flatbed scanner is that the book is scanned face up, allowing scanning to be far more efficient, and minimising possible damage to old and valuable books with delicate bindings, where splitting is neither possible, nor appropriate.
The image quality from these scanners is so high as to, in many cases, render the scanned image to be superior to the original! All images are available in almost any file format and indexing is done to individual specifications.
