| Notes | Complete set of letterbooks from the A, B and C series from the 18th century, together with an index, and including the journal of the travels and voyages of Rev. George Keith, the first missionary sent to North America by the SPG from 1702-1704.
Published with a supplement including three volumes of copies of the most important letters [i.e. those read before the Society] received and sent. These reveal the on-going, albeit much reduced, extent of the SPG's activities in the United States during the latter half of the nineteenth, and into the early twentieth century. Also included is a single-box (C/EMIGRANTS/1) from the C series with 24 folders comprising chiefly unbound reports, correspondence and journals from the mid-19th century re SPG's chaplains ministering to emigrants to North America (mostly Canada) and Australia in Liverpool and other English ports involved in transatlantic emigration.
